The French company said that “as a fashion tech start-up founded by Fanny Moizant and Sophie Hersan, we are proud to be adding two more powerhouse females to our global leadership team”.

They each have an impressive CV with Oebel — who’s joining the firm’s Paris HQ — having spent the last 15 years in Marketing and Strategy roles at L'Oréal, Zalando, McKinsey and most recently, at French unicorn Doctolib.

Meanwhile, Virk is “a leader in the fashion e-commerce industry, with a strong background in building brands at the intersection of fashion and technology — most notably at eBay and Target”.

She was also largely responsible for launching the Vestiaire Collective US market in 2015, “establishing the brand and leading the company to its first growth milestones”.

She said that the fashion industry “has reached a turning point. It’s an exciting time to join Vestiaire Collective, leading the movement to a circular fashion economy. With an increasing global presence, we will now accelerate the company’s expansion and further build the brand and business in North America”.
