After becoming part of the Perceva investment fund in summer 2015, French lingerie and swimwear group Vanity Fair Brands Europe has been busy reworking its brand offering -- Vanity Fair, Lou, Variance and Bestform -- under a five-year plan. With a goal to strengthen the European's international reach, the group's latest recruitment -- in the form of Benoit de Montessus, illustrates this global perspective nicely.

De Montessus comes to Vanity Fair Brands Europe as the firm's new export manager. Working with each of the group's brands, the fashion executive will report directly to group CEO, Joëlle Pellegrin. Pellegrin looks to utilise de Montessus' knowledge of the American and Asian markets, which are regions of new development for the group's premium brands, namely Vanity Fair and Lou.

At VFB Europe, de Montessus finds himself in a new world -- lingerie, having previously worked in fashion. He is most noted for his longstanding work for apparel brand Vicomte A, where he served from 2007 to 2013 as sales manager, then as the founder's right-hand man, Arthur de Soultrait, until his recent departure from the brand.

Before VFB Europe,  the new export manager also served at The Kooples as wholesale and export manager, and at the luxury brand Maison Ullens, where he was in charge of the Americas and Middle East.
