Angelini Beauty, a subsidiary of Italian multi-sector group Angelini Industries that is active in the selective perfumery and dermocosmetics markets, has signed a long-term agreement with Trussardi to expand and strengthen its role as exclusive licensee of the long-established fashion label’s perfumery and cosmetics products. Angelini Beauty has held the Trussardi license since 2010.

The new deal’s objective is to continue to promote the growth of Trussardi's fragrances, consolidating their presence on markets that are already covered, like Italy, Germany, Spain, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and facilitating their penetration in regions that are strategically important for the label’s growth, like the Far East, thanks notably to investments in production, new distribution channels, and advertising.

“In a highly competitive sector such as perfumery, the partnership with Trussardi in the fragrances and cosmetics categories is a fundamental stage in our company's growth strategy,” said Lluís Plà Fernandez-Villacañas, president and CEO of Angelini Beauty. “The expansion path we have charted will on the one hand help consolidate the Trussardi brand’s presence in existing markets, thanks to distribution channel diversification, and on the other, help [the brand] enter new markets to seize the opportunities afforded by regions that are currently still under-exploited,” he added.

“The extension and strengthening of today’s agreement with Angelini Beauty confirms the validity of a successful strategic partnership that was born in 2010, and that now has even more ambitious international development goals. At the same time, our project to relaunch the Trussardi group, which will soon reopen its historic headquarters in Piazza della Scala [in Milan] featuring a uniquely Milanese food & fashion lifestyle concept, is moving forward,” said Sebastian Suhl, CEO of Trussardi.

The new deal relates to all of Trussardi's fragrance brands: the Trussardi Uomo and Trussardi Donna men's and women’s perfumes, the Le Vie di Milano luxury collection, and the Levriero collection for men and women, for more than 15 product lines in total. Angelini Beauty will also have the opportunity to develop new fragrances under the Trussardi brand.

The operation is consistent with Angelini Beauty’s efforts to strengthen its license portfolio, which include not only investing in new brands by acquiring new licenses, as the company did recently, but also growing the value of long-established and prestigious brands such as Trussardi, which is commercialised in over 80 countries with men's and women’s perfumes positioned in the premium and ultra-premium segments.
