Sam Edelman debuts kids collection for fall
Sam Edelman debuted on Monday the new Sam Edelman Kids footwear collection designed exclusively in-house for fall 2021.
For the collection, Edelman curated an assortment of his favorite styles to be made for kids, but also for those special 'mommy and me' moments. Taking notes from the Sam Edelman women’s line, the collection is made of premium leathers and top-grade materials in a combination of novelty colorways and treatments creating the perfect balance of quality and fun.
Styles include the Felicia Mini, Penny Mini, Aubrie Mini, Ethyl Mini, Lydell Mini, Laguna Mini, Taelor Mini, and Tully Mini, all named after iconic women’s styles. Prices range from $60 to $100 and select styles will be available in sizes 11-4.
“Designing a kids collection in-house was a no-brainer. I saw a space in the market for amazing quality and fashion that wasn’t being offered for children,” said Edelman.
“I know firsthand how hard it can be to find shoes that offer the same fashion appeal and premium qualities as the adult options, I have six granddaughters and I wanted to design something I could share with them.”
The collection is available online at SamEdelman.com and in Sam Edelman-owned retail stores worldwide. Sam Edelman Kids will also be sold online and in select doors at Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales, Dillard’s, Zappos, Belk, Amazon, and Lane Crawford/Pedder Group.
Sam Edelman is part of the Caleres family of brands along with Naturalizer, Allen Edmonds, Vionic, Dr. Scholl’s Shoes, and more.
Most recently, the St. Louis, Missouri-based footwear company has been feeling the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. For the fourth quarter ended January 30, 2021, it announced a net loss of $77 million, or $2.11 per diluted share.
