Repetto coming to New York this summer

Even though the most recent priority has been the Asia market, Repetto wants to expand onto a new front. For now, the French brand has only been present in the US through multi-brand retailers, but that is about to change with a first step. It will be opening its first American flagship store in New York sometime before the end of July.

Thus, Repetto has just signed for its first location via its American subsidiary. It will be located on West Broadway, in Manhattan, and will open its doors in either June or July, once the construction work is done. Coincidentally (or not!), it will be neighbours with another French name, Bonpoint (at number 398).

The flagship will have 1,600 ft² of sales space to present all of its collections that have been expanded over the last few years: dance, of course, but also shoes, leather goods and ready-to-wear. This showcase is aiming to be the "launch pad for Repetto into the American market," said Cyrille Ravard, its sales director.

Following this opening, which will give the house a firm platform and great visibility, other openings may be on the agenda, in the medium term, in New York as well, but also in other big American cities.

In parallel, and internationally, Repetto is continuing with its Asian development with local partners, and is planning on several dozen openings in the next few years, on mainland China, but also in Japan and South-East Asia. On the Asian continent it currently has 60 points of sale (single brand stores and shop-in-shops included together).
