Pakistani fashion retailer Khaadi to open at Intu Trafford Centre

Pakistani clothing brand Khaadi has selected Intu Trafford Centre to launch its first store in the north west of England as it works with owner intu to expand across the UK.

Established in 1998, the specialist clothing retailer designs, manufactures and retails its own products for men, women and children, as well as homewares. It specialises in hand woven loose fabrics, children's clothing and traditional Pakistani accessories.

Khaadi has 54 stores in Pakistan, the UAE and the UK, including shops in Leicester, Birmingham, Bradford and London at Westfield shopping centres.

The new store at Trafford Centre will spread over 2,283 sq ft.

"We decided Intu Trafford Centre was the place for us as it offers the full shopping experience with amazing fashion, food outlets and leisure activities," said Eloise Berry, head of HR and operations manager at Khaadi.

Attracting an annual footfall of over 31 million, Intu Trafford Centre is one of the UK's largest shopping and leisure destinations with a high proportion of affluent customers.

The super-regional shopping mall houses upmarket and high street brands from Michael Kors to Pull&Bear, and from Ted Baker to 360 Champagne and Cocktails. It also boasts of a Selfridges department store with the world’s most sought-after labels.

Intu Trafford Centre will also see luxury handbag maker Radley upsize its store to create a new 876 sq ft shop.
