The Onitsuka Tiger brand has opened its biggest-ever store with a debut on London’s Regent Street in a prime corner spot at number 249-251.

And it’s also the first store globally to to offer the entire line-up from the Japanese brand, including the contemporary and heritage collections, the Nippon Made series and the luxe Onitsuka line.

The company said the space has been designed “to resemble a brand art gallery where customers can fully enjoy the world of Onitsuka Tiger”.

It covers 9,300 square feet across two floors with a large marble interior carrying all the collections on the ground floor. In its centre, there’s a marble shoe wall, featuring three types of stone.

Meanwhile, in the basement, there’s a showroom and gallery space that “will be used to support local creators and global artists and provide a variety of experiences that connect the brand with London culture”, we’re told.

Unifying the two floors is a luminous pillar that penetrates from the basement to the ceiling on the ground floor, seen to the left of the main entrance. It’s composed of a spiral of two colours of light, “embodying the brand's philosophy to fuse heritage with innovation”.

The company has also launched special models to commemorate the opening with the graphics used in the limited editions combining the brand’s tiger pattern with a colour scheme inspired by the famous London Underground map. The two shoe styles are the Ultimate 81 MP and the Rebilac Runner MP.
