Manolo Blahnik made its return to New York City this month with the opening of a flagship store on the Upper East Side’s Madison Avenue.

The store, nestled in a 1920s two-story space, was designed by award-winning interior designer David Thomas, hand-in-hand with Manolo and Kristina Blahnik.

The location was inspired by the "Hollywood Regency" reimagined in a 21st-century home with classic marble floors detailing, walls adorned with hand-painted Regency-style stripes in the house's signature color scheme, while large classical columns line the walls. Meanwhile, carrying on the tradition of the brand’s original location, shoppers will find a functional bar, which offers a range of non-alcoholic refreshments allowing visitors to both shop and meet.

The flagship houses the brand’s women’s and men’s collections, including an exclusive capsule celebrating the designer’s admiration for New York. The collection, rich in colors and textures, is inspired by the American artist Tony Duquette and his interiors. The result is a mixed collection that personifies relaxed elegance, which is perfect for New Yorkers.

The brand's return to New York follows the closure of its West 54th Street location in midtown Manhattan in 2019.

Most recently, the brand also opened a second new location in the Hamptons with a pop-up store at 52 Main Street in East Hampton. This intimate space offers a special selection of seasonal pieces and iconic pieces from the brand's women's and men's collections.
