Property giant Landsec has announced that it has signed deals with 25 brands covering 139,900 sq ft across its various shopping centres with big names having just joined or set to join its line-up, including Decathlon, Zara and Radley.

Decathlon is to open a 35,100 sq ft flagship store at Trinity Leeds, which will be the first dedicated outdoors and sports retailer at the centre, while H&M will add to the size of its current store there with an additional 13,600 sq ft of retail space.

Meanwhile Zara has signed for a 38,000 sq ft store at St David’s, Cardiff, news that comes hot on the heels of it unveiling a plan to expand its already large Bluewater store to 37,000 sq ft by this autumn.

And in Oxford, Peloton — the spin class brand that’s helping drive demand for cycling apparel higher — has launched its second UK showroom within the firm’s portfolio at Westgate (the first was at Bluewater). Rituals and Phase Eight have also recently opened at the centre with 1,400 sq ft and 2,600 sq ft of retail space, while luxe watchmaker Tag Heuer will open an 800 sq ft store there in the next few months.

The company also announced the more-than-tripling by Oliver Bonas of its Southside shopping centre store in London. And in Lewisham in South London, footwear retailer Deichmann has opened 5,400 sq ft of retail space. Calvin Klein Jeans has also secured 1,800 sq ft of space at Gunwharf Quays, adding to the brand’s presence with its Calvin Klein Underwear store already trading from the outlet.

And the Junction 32 property has seen the opening of Radley and Jones Bootmaker stores, while at Braintree Village, Kate Spade is set to join with an 1,800 sq ft unit.
