The California player of the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook, returned to his native land last season, after successively being part of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards, has just announced on his Instagram account the opening this Saturday, September 24, of his first ready-to-wear store.

The District Collection by Russell Westbrook

It is at 130 North La Brea Avenue that Russell Westbrook chose to install his store, the same place where the singer Drake opened in 2015 his store October's Very Own (OVO). A space of 2300 square feet, neighbor of the famous Union store, and familiar to the entire streetwear community in Los Angeles.

Launched in September 2017, his ready-to-wear brand called Honor the Gift is "the story of a kid from the Inner City of Los Angeles," said Westbrook. "A brand founded on self-belief and dedication to never stop working toward your greatness no matter the hardship."

On the occasion of the store's opening, the winter 2022 collection titled 'District', inspired by the Unified School Districts of Los Angeles, will be unveiled, commemorating the first two 'Private & Public' collections launched earlier and featuring vegan leathers, varsity jackets, graphic tees and heavy weight cable knits for men, women and children.

The brand is already distributed in more than 60 outlets in the United States, and is also present at Selfridges in the United Kingdom, at Juice Taiwan and also in Australia, Italy, Canada, South Korea and on the Nordstrom ecommerce site.

The store opening will be open to the public from noon to 4 pm.
