Killing Eve hit show links with IMG for product deals
Killing Eve, the hit TV spy thriller that’s also known for its powerful fashion moments, is moving into merchandise in a deal with IMG.
AMC Networks, which operates BBC America, owns the North American merchandise and licensing rights and production company Sid Gentle Films owns the rights in the rest of the world. They’ve appointed IMG as the exclusive worldwide licensing representative. IMG will bring its first consumer products to market through selective brand partnerships and collaborations.
It already has a Killing Eve link as its partner company Endeavor Content is its distributor.
Starring Sandra Oh as British intelligence operative Eve Polastri and Jodie Comer as assassin Villanelle, the show has a huge following globally and numerous Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA award wins and nominations.
Given that it’s also shown in 140 countries, it all makes it ripe for commercial exploitation.
The new multi-year licensing partnership will see IMG, Sid Gentle and AMC “build a robust licensing program of products, experiences and collaborations focused around themes fans love most about the show, including fashion, beauty, travel and games,” we’re told.
