Launched as part of Halpern's fall 2020 assortment, the J Brand x Halpern collection "captures the unmistakably free-spirited aesthetic of the 1970s", through new versions of classic J Brand pieces injected with Halpern’s glamorous aesthetic, the brands said.

Select looks from the collaboration -- including a green, snakeskin-print pantsuit, a three-piece classic denim look, and a tropical-print shift dress paired with fringe-covered black pants, among others -- were debuted during Halpern’s fall 2020 runway show, during London Fashion Week on February 15.

A denim brand with a sustainability-first philosophy, J Brand's contribution to the Halpern collaboration will also include a selection of premium sustainable denim pieces. The collaboration marks the latest launch of eco-conscious designs from the California brand since pledging to apply sustainable technologies to 100% of all washed denim by the end of 2020.

Previously, J Brand has collaborated with brands including Simone Rocha, Proenza Schouler, Christopher Kane and Bella Freud.

Launched in 2016, Michael Halpern's eponymous brand became a rapidly rising star after its debut during the fall/winter 2017 shows at London Fashion Week. Following the premiere collection, the Halpern brand was picked up by Bergdorf Goodman, MatchesFashion and Browns, and the designer later received the 2017 British Emerging Talent award for womenswear.

The J Brand x Halpern collection will arrive online and at global shopping destinations beginning late August 2020.
