Gym+Coffee names marketing agency to drive UK brand awareness
Gym+Coffee is flexing for expansion and improved visibility. The Irish athleisure brand has hired the Mongoose marketing agency “to raise awareness of the brand and build on its global community in Europe”.
Inspired by the shift towards wellness, the Gym+Coffee name “stands for two important aspects of life: exercise and socialising”. It claims to be Ireland’s largest athleisure brand, and the Mongoose appointment builds on its ambitions to become "one of the fastest growing businesses domestically and in the UK”.
The integrated sports, fitness and entertainment marketing agency will cover PR activities, ranging from store openings to new product launches.
Most recently, Gym+Coffee partnered with Irish singer/songwriter Niall Horan, alongside opening its second international retail store in The Trafford Centre, Manchester, last month.
The interactive Clubhouse is the seventh store for the four-year-old brand and the second in the UK after the first opened in Westfield White City, London, last year.
In 2020, it launched its first collection of sustainable athleisure products available through its e-commerce platforms in Europe, the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand, as well as through its retail stores in Ireland and the UK.
Co-founder, Diarmuid McSweeney, said, “It’s a really huge milestone for us to be opening our second store and we have a big focus on international growth this year, so we’re thrilled to have the support of Mongoose to help spread the good news”.
