Fashion Revolution teams up with Common Objective
Fashion Revolution’s Fashion Open Studio and Common Objective have teamed up to continue to promote sustainability in the fashion industry beyond Fashion Revolution Week.
Running from 22- 28 April, Fashion Revolution Week will see hundreds of events take place around the world to celebrate progress in the sustainable fashion movement.
In the UK, top designers and brands including Vivienne Westwood, Veja, Phoebe English, Ecoalf, and Raeburn will participate by opening up their showrooms to the public as part of Fashion Open Studio, which encourages leading industry voices to host presentations, talks and workshops to celebrate sustainable fashion.
In order to further amplify the transparent approach beyond Fashion Revolution Week, Fashion Open Studio has teamed with Common Objective, an online business network connecting fashion businesses with sustainable suppliers.
“Every year engagement with Fashion Revolution Week continues to grow, but it’s fantastic now to be able to use the CO platform to continue the conversation throughout the year and have a digital space for designers and makers to share ideas,” said Tamsin Blanchard, curator of Fashion Open Studio.
“The FOS designers are leaders in using creative problem solving to address some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges, all whilst creating beautiful products,” added Qiulae Wong, director of product and marketing at Common Objective.
“They’re setting a new standard for the industry to aspire to and we’re delighted to be able to use the CO platform to disseminate this inspiration as far and wide as possible.”
Common Objective is a new business network for the fashion industry backed by designers Vivienne Westwood, Roland Mouret and Christopher Raeburn and Fashion Revolution co-founder Orsola de Castro.
Its mission is to help fashion brands do business better by connecting people with the right suppliers, buyers, advisers and new team members based on an intelligent account profile that learns about the user.
