The Farah menswear brand has just launched a collaboration with retailer Urban Outfitters that’s described as “directional, aspirational and charged with 70s inspiration”.

The new exclusive collab “reworks hero pieces from Farah’s archives”.

Farah said it has “reimagined” heritage pieces to “design a collection that feels fresh for today”. The label’s association with music and the prominent subcultures of the 70s also proved to be an inspiration for the capsule.

So what does it include? A number of pieces all named after London districts. The brand’s Ladbroke’ trouser, is where it all starts and lifts the details from the original 70s slacks such as the 45° angle pocket, the double belt loop and the poly twill in an authentic Farah check design.

There’s also a classic silhouette making a return in the ‘Maida Tricot’ track top, which has been recreated in the same authentic fabric and “cut with a fresh twist”.

Other comebacks include the ‘Westbourne’ knitted polo that retains its original pointelle cable; the ‘Acton’ cardigan that has been reimagined in new colours; and the ‘Holland’ shirt - a reissue of the 70s original but this time in stripes of brown and beige.
