Last March FashionMag Premium announced that Façonnable were due to be evicted from their store on Paris’ famous rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. On Monday, the brand confirmed that it would indeed be leaving the historical fashion centre of Paris. “Façonnable can confirm the termination of the lease, effective December 2012, of the boutique on Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris,” stated the press release.

Rumours of eviction had been circulating for several months, as had those of who the successor will be. For many, Façonnable no longer had a place between Lanvin and Moncler, opposite Prada and near to Hermès. Moreover, the brand did not have the financial capacity to meet the demands of the property owner, who will no doubt have no problems finding a new tenant for this prestigious 11,000 square-foot space.

Clients will still be able to find Façonnable in Paris, with one location just off the Champs-Elysées and another in Saint-Germain. The CEO, Moustapha El-Solh, has expressed his interest in finding another central Paris location for the brand. “The search for a new location comes at an important time for the brand, as we are currently working on strengthening our international retail presence,” claimed the CEO. “Façonnable is looking to enhance its global network whilst reinforcing its presence in Europe and the United States by developing is boutiques and partnerships.”

According to the company, the end of 2012 will see new openings in Germany, Lithuania and Lativa. The brand has already opened many new stores across the world including in Dubai, Doha, Jordan and Chili. Most recently in August, the company opened new stores in Casablanca and Nantes. Further to this, the brand spending time is renovating all French stores.

The company is planning store openings in the United States, Abu Dhabi and Turkey in 2013, in addition to plans to develop partnerships with prestigious department stores across the world.
