Despite the financial crisis, Dolce & Gabbana is continuing to invest in Russia. The luxury label has just opened an enormous flagship at the heart of Moscow with its partner Mercury, at n°2 Tretyakovsky proezd, in an area known as one of the most expensive for shopping in the world.

Tretyakovsky proezd is no longer the smallest street in the capital, having been transformed into a commercial artery dedicated to luxury in the early 2000s. The Dolce & Gabbana grand was already present on it at n°8. It has just moved to n°2 to a (much) larger space.

The 12,000 ft² space is located in an aristocratic Moscovite palace. Elements of Italian artisanry are part of the original decor with columns, stucco and freizes, the house points out in a press release.

The store is spread out over four levels and holds the label's men's and women's collections as well as watches and jewellery. The last floor hosts the Martini Bar.

This is Dolce & Gabbana's 3rd store in Moscow, with the other locations on Kutuzosvkij Prospect and in the capital's very exclusive suburb, Barvikha Luxury Village.

The Italian house also has another monobrand store in Yekaterinburg and is distributed via a wholesale channel at Tsum in Moscow and DLT in Saint Petersburg.

Dolce & Gabbana has 327 monobrand stores around the world.
