As its turnaround plan continues, NYC-based beauty conglomerate Coty announced on Monday that it has appointed Kristin Blazewicz as its new chief legal officer, general counsel and secretary of the board of directors, effective March 15.

In her new role, Blazewicz will oversee Coty’s legal affairs around the world and will be tasked with supporting the company’s transformation into a healthier business by improving its operations from a legal perspective.

She succeeds Greer McMullen and will report to Coty CEO Pierre Laubies. She will be based in Amsterdam and will also become a member of Coty’s executive committee.

Blazewicz joins Coty from American beverage company Keurig Dr Pepper, where, over the space of seven years, she was able to progress from corporate counsel to her current role as VP and assistant general counsel.

She brings over a decade of experience in in-house legal roles and law firms to her new position.

“Kristin’s deep expertise in Legal affairs and track record of success will be a great addition to the Coty Executive Committee, and we are looking forward to having her on board soon,” commented Laubies in a release.

Coty, which recently concluded a transaction cementing a strategic partnership with Kylie Cosmetics, also owns the Covergirl, Max Factor and Rimmel London brands, among others. Its products are currently sold in more than 150 countries around the world.
