Christian Dior opens a flagship in Séoul

On 20 June, Christian Dior opened a new flagship. Located in Seoul, South Korea, at the heart of the Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu district. The boutique was designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc, with Peter Marino, a regular collaborator with the brand, as its interior designer.

The six storey location notably houses a Pierre Hermé Cafén a VIP room and a gallery on the fifth floor. The basement level is dedicated to menswear.
 
To celebrate the opening, Dior launched a limited edition that will be sold only in Korea. It notably includes handbags and accessories. Each piece is a Limited Edition. With a number stating where it stands in the order of the copies produced.

At the same time, the label has organised an exhibition in Seoul, entitled Esprit Dior, from 20 June to 25 August, at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It features the Christian Dior universe while also integrating the works of six Korean artist: Do-Ho Suh, Lee Bul, Heryun Kim, Kim Dong-Yoo, Kiwon Park and Seon-Ghi Bahk.
