Bread & Butter is playing its final chip, or almost, in July. The trade fair, which passed on its last session in January and is in receivership, is set to turn a few heads this summer with a strong new concept.

To lead the event, alongside co-founder Karl-Heinz Müller, Haman Alimardani, alias Hamansutra, has been appointed its creative director. He succeeds Robert Dizdarevic and will be in charge of the trade fair's image and has already prepared the campaign for July. It has to be said that the campaigns and layout were part of the DNA of the trade fair, which will unveil an initial list of exhibitors in two weeks, those who signed up early in exchange for a reduced rate.

Born in 1977 in Tehran, Haman Alimardani grew up in New York and Munich. He notably studied at Central Saint Martins in London. Between graffiti, music and fashion, the designer has worked for the likes of Kenzo, Mey, Nike, Porsche, Microsoft, Jung von Matt… And since 2003 he has been giving lectures at the Parsons School in New York. He also teaches at the AMD Academy for Fashion and Design. In 2004 he launched his Hamansutra label, producing fashion pieces and design objects.
