Bloomingdale's flagship locations across the country will celebrate the Year of the Monkey from January 15 through March 1, 2016 with special events and products related to the Lunar New Year.

Bloomingdale's will honor the Chinese red envelope tradition from February 11-14 by filling select red envelopes with bMoney gift cards valued at $8, $88, or $888, recognizing 8 as a lucky number in Chinese culture.

The iconic Little Brown Bag will be replaced with the Little Monkey Bag, a limited edition reusable tote bag. Select beauty brands will offer promotions tied to the celebration. The stores will also offer dining and fur events. Baccarat, Chloe, Lalique, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Furla, YSL Beauty, and David Yurman are offering Year of the Monkey-inspired products in store. In addition, select products will be available online.

Year of the Monkey pop-up shops will showcase related gift ideas, including the Little Monkey Bag, Lunar New Year Godiva chocolate, and red Beats by Dre headphones.

Bloomingdale's is also adding Lunar New Year celebrations to its year round Tourism Program designed to get tourists from hotels to stores in NY, Miami, Chicago, SF and Hawaii.

The Year of the Monkey celebrations, product and other visual statements will be present throughout key stores: NY’s 59th Street and SoHo stores, Hawaii’s Ala Moana Center, Southern California’s Beverly Center, Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza and Fashion Valley, Chicago’s North Michigan Avenue, DC’s Tysons Corner and SF’s San Francisco Centre.
