Billabong’s Global Brand President, Shannan North, told the press in a release, "Andy's dedication to progressing art and his love for the surf culture became a powerful connection to our brand and inspired us to create this collection. To see Warhol's iconic art come to life on our silhouettes is an important and celebrated moment in our brand history."

The collection caters to both men and women and will include boardshorts,  swimwear, tops, tees, footwear, hats, and towels, all featuring Warhol’s iconic prints. Warhol Surf was released on Thursday, March 2.

The collection is an effort by Billabong LAB, a collaborative project by Billabong bringing together the iconic surf brand and a rotating series of artists, musicians, designers, photographers, and surf icons.

Warhol himself was no stranger to the surf world – the multimedia artist filmed underground surf flick San Diego Surf on the California coast in 1968.
