The online fashion destination for teenagers and twenty-somethings said the new position will see Holland add the management of the company’s transformation projects to his responsibilities.

As supply chain director, he already oversees Asos’ global trading, customer care and supply chain departments.

Some of Asos’ transformation projects include the upcoming opening of an automated warehouse in Atlanta, the adoption of a new retail planning and merchandising system and the automation of the company’s fulfillment centre in Berlin.

The online platform is also improving its London headquarters and customer care centre in Leavesden.

Mark Holland has been at the company for six years, and sits on the Asos executive board. In his new role, he will continue to report to CEO Nick Beighton.

“Mark’s well-deserved appointment is a reflection of the significant contribution he has made to the business over the last six years and the skills he possesses, which will be invaluable to us as we position ourselves for further growth,” the chief executive commented.

Asos is investing big on technology to ensure its position as a leading fashion e-tailer. Last year, the firm reported retail sales growth of 26%, while profit surged 28% to £102m.
