After conquering Tokyo and Seoul, 10 Corso Como is heading to China. Infamous concept store – founded in 1990 in Milan by Carla Sozzani – has just opened a huge store measuring 2500m² in Shanghai’s Jing’An district. Spanning four floors, the store also features a gallery, a bookshop, restaurant and café-cum-patisserie.

For its Chinese venture, 10 Corso Como teamed up with a local retail leader Trendy International which operates 2000 stores in the country and has received financial backing from L Capital, the LVMH investment firm created to support activity in Asia.

The artist responsible for the original store - American Kris Ruhs - was commission with the store design, which heavily features black and white designs.

In 2002 the store worked with Comme des Garçons to open a franchise in Tokyo. In 2008, Samsung Cheil helped to bring the concept store to South Korean stores with a huge space in Seoul.
