​Hunter CEO James Seuss departs

The British heritage brand, Hunter Boots, announced on Monday the departure of its CEO James Seuss, who will step down towards the end of November to pursue a new opportunity.

The company, which is backed by UK-based Searchlight Capital Partners, has created an interim leadership committee that will continue to manage the business in line with the current strategy, while the search for a new CEO is “currently underway”.

The committee will will comprise members of the existing senior management team: Alasdhair Willis (Creative Director), Benedict Smith (CFO), Julie Rafferty (Product & Sourcing Director) and Wendy Svarre (CEO & President, Americas).

Oliver Haarmann, Chairman, said: “We would like to thank Jim for his service to Hunter. The business has continued to see high sales growth and increasing brand awareness during his tenure, through a transformational period for the brand.”

James Seuss joined the brand, renowned for its iconic outerwear boots, in 2012. Over the past few years Hunter Boots has launched its Hunter Originals line, which is presented at London Fashion Week, and opened its first flagship store on London’s Regent Street.
